Remembrance Service

FASS holds an annual Ecumenical Service of Remembrance.

This years service will be held on:

Thursday 24th November 2016

at St Alphonsus' Church, London Road, Bridgeton,Glasgow

from 7.30pm

and will lead by Father Ian Bathgate of St Alphonsus' Church and Rev Peter Davidge of Gallowgate Parish Church.

This service is for anyone who has lost a loved one due to addiction to pay their respects and a time for remembrance and reflection of all the people who have died from drugs or alcohol.

Over 200 people attend this service and there is a lot of emotion on the night. Many of the attendees then proceeded to The Lodging House Mission for light refreshments after the service.

"I lost both my sons, I am leaving this service with a happy heart, this is the first time I have been here and I will be back next year, I am so glad. I phoned FASS to thank them."

"The counsellor at West St helped me and in turn helped my family."

"I find the service comforting and get to meet people who have been through the same experience, plus it reminds people that everyone deserves respect."

"The service is beautiful, touching, emotional and essential."

Thank you to FASS for this service."
